Job Summary


Provides¬  comprehensive primary care services independently to essentially healthy women in accordance with approved and recognized standards for midwifery practice according to the Standards for the Practice of Midwifery developed by the American College of Nurse-Midwives and within the clinical guidelines for midwifery practice developed by Greenville Hospital Systems and the Department of OB/GYN. This care is provided in both the outpatient and inpatient settings.


Provides care to women with selected medical complications in collaboration with Obstetricians-Gynecologists according to established clinical practice guidelines.¬ 



Supervisory/Management Responsibilities


This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.



Minimum Education


Master's Degree -¬ Midwifery education program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Midwifery Education (ACME).¬ 



Minimum Experience


2 years -¬ Full-scope midwifery practice



Required Certifications/Registrations/Licenses


RN - ADVANCE PRACTICE - NLAP


ACNM - NURSE MIDWIFE - RN96


JOB RELATED CERTIFICATION - COTR



Specific Acceptable Credentials (if applicable)


SC APRN license with Prescriptive Authority¬ ¬  (Lawson Code NLAP)


SC Dept. of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) controlled substance prescribing number



In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements

Other Required Experience


Limited 3rd trimester ultrasound and 1st trimester viability - Preferred


Experience and/or¬ participation in Centering Pregnancy program - Preferred


In-hospital alternative birthing suite or free-standing birth center - Preferred

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
